Description

The Cable TV passive device is interesting technology. The development of the splitter gave the cable system engineer the ability to split signals. This capability provided a diversified path reaching many more customers. The additional development of the Directional coupler allowed them to send a smaller amount of signal to secondary locations with little signal loss on the main trunk. Also eliminating the need to add additional active devices like amplifiers or Line Extenders.
