Cupid in the Underworld (a380), relief in marble,after the original model from 1828. Thorvaldsen Museum (Copenhagen, Denmark). Made with Memento Beta (now ReMake) from AutoDesk. This relief, along with the three that follow, depict Cupid´s rule of the world. Even the Earth´s fiery interior, symbolized here by the three-headed dog Cerberus, guardian of the Underworld, is controlled by Cupid. He has here placed his bow like a noose around the dog´s three heads, and in his hand he holds the pitchfork belonging to Pluto, god of the Underworld.
