Diabase porphyry #38 04-15-2020

Description

This diabase porphyry contains consicuous phenocrysts of grey plagioclase. The matrix contains plagioclase, augite, hornblende and biotite but they cannot be easily distinguished. It is 9 cm in longest dimension and comes from Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
