Description

this scan of the underside of the ailey young House shows a row of six joist pockets All spaced 9 inches apart. There are also Joy scars located on the front of the chimney base. Additionally, joist pockets were also found on the two vertical single stone piers. However these pockets are sideways, suggesting that the piers were originally used as something else supporting joists.
