Ausma (Art Fight)

Description

A model of [one of my friends' OCs](https://artfight.net/character/213955.ausma) that I made for Art Fight 2021. This is by far the most detailed model I have ever worked on, and I learned a *ton* working on it. Some parts still aren't ideal -- the rigging/weight painting is not ideal on some joints and I think I would execute the face a lot differently with the knowledge I have now -- but overall I am very very happy with this and am so glad I took the time to take it to completion. Probably the most interesting part of this project was forcing myself to model outside my usual art style. I don't have a solid grasp of proportions in 3d yet, and just trying to follow Ausma's ref by sight just wasn't working out at all, so I drew out some detailed references for it. I learned a ton from that alone, and am looking forward to doing more 3d projects in the future.
