Long-tailed Tyrant *Colonia colonus* [MLZ 65634](https://arctos.database.museum/guid/MLZ:Bird:65634) Tobunas Misiones, Argentina Collected by W. H. Partridge Physical specimen held by the Moore Laboratory of Zoology, Occidental College, Los Angeles, CA A distinctive member of the family Tyrannidae, the Long-tailed Tyrant sports a sharp black and white plumage with a pair of elongated central tail feathers. The Long-tailed Tyrant is actually so distinct that it is the sole member of its genus, *Colonia*. Despite it being the only member of its genus, it is a fairly widespread species in the lowlands of Central and South America.
