Concentric striations

Description

This is a 3D model of a vessel that shows traces of concentric striations, caused by a wire to remove the vessel from the potter's wheel. **Technical details** The 3D model was created with the David SLS-3 scanner. The original file size is 1.01GB, has a resolution of 0.0181mm (vertex spacing) and contains 6320993 vertices. To be able to make a printable model that still shows the relevant traces, the base was cut from a decimated model (790130 vertices), 3 times enlarged and converted to a STL file.
