Kaiwekite hand specimen

Description

A piece of kaiwekite, a unique alkaline volcanic rock found near Dunedin, New Zealand. It is thought to have been formed by the mixing of basaltic and phonolitic magmas, producing a weird variety of minerals. This model was reconstructed from photographs of a real specimen using Agisoft Metashape.
