3D scanned *Leptoglossus zonatus* (Dallas 1852) captured using scAnt, our affordable and open-source platform for the creation of digital 3D models of arthropods and small objects. ScAnt consists of a scanner and a Graphical User Interface which enable the automated generation of multi-view Extended-Depth-Of-Field (EDOF) images. These images are simultaneously processed and masked with a novel approach combining random forest-based edge-detection, adaptive thresholding, and connected component labelling. This beautiful specimen was given to us by Christine W Miller [CWMillerLab](https://twitter.com/CWMillerLab) Body length: 19.38 mm (excluding antennae and legs) * proboscis was fragmented during reconstruction with **3DF Zephyr Lite** and thus re-modelled and textured in blender 2.8 based on the fragmented outline and captured EDOF images All code, CAD drawings, and assembly instructions here: https://skfb.ly/6XGpP Find us at http://evo-biomech.ic.ac.uk/ and [EvoBiomech](https://twitter.com/EvoBiomech)
