Description

The Altar Preetz, central panel, ca 1435, Hamburg (Germany). The National Museum (Copenhagen, Denmark). Made by Memento Beta. The altarpiece originally had two pairs of wings, but only one survives. All the carved figures display their original, well- preserved colours and gilding. The altarpiece was made ca. 1435 by a pupil from Master Francke's workshop in Hamburg, Germany. Preetz Abbey, Holstein.
