An incomplete copper alloy openwork cruciform mount or strap fitting, of probable Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800). The strap fitting is cruciform in shape, with four projecting arms. Each arm is the same and terminates in an rounded knop, with a circular sectioned copper alloy rivet placed through it. Beneath the terminal knop is an openwork triangular shape, with rounded sides, which continue into a central square openwork. It represents a two strand ropework design. The edges have been rounded. The reverse is flat and undecorated. For more information, please visit the online database record available at: https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/1072794
