Glass stopper from the wreck of the Earl Of Abergavenny. ID: EOA:2022.21.2 Collection: Earl of Abergavenny Classification: Trade Measurements: Length 46mm Width 24mm Date made: as yet unknown Display: not on display Manufacturer/Creator: as yet unknown Credit: Portland Museum Trust This small, multi faceted cut-glass stopper probably formed part of a perfume bottle. It would have been wrapped in dunnage (helping to preserve its colour) and stored in the hold. Over 50 stoppers of varying designs have been recovered from the wreck.
