Medieval calendar of Campisábalos (Spain)

Description

Medieval calendar preserved in the Church of San Bartolomé de Campisábalos (Guadalajara, Spain). It is one of the few examples of stone calendars existing in Spain. It is carved on the south façade of the Romanesque chapel of San Galindo. The calendar represents, through different scenes, the main activities that were carried out each month of the year, especially agricultural and livestock tasks, but also a joust between knights, a boar hunting scene, and activities typical of the nobility are also represented.
