A queen from the Lewis chesspieces

Chess-piece; walrus ivory; queen wearing floriated crown, veil, mantle and tunic; right hand placed on cheek; seated in chair ornamented on back with two addorsed animals with foliate terminations; animal heads on top of uprights. Date circa 1150-1175 AD Height: 8cm Made by Daniel Pett from 224 photos taken with a Nikon D5100 with assistance from Florence Dassonville and Lucy Ellis. This model can definitely be improved.
