Monument to Party Founding (DPRK)

Scrapping footage to create 3D models is not only useful to documentate lost heritage but also those with restricted access. Here is a unusual type of modern heritage that might be difficult to scan: A DPRK monument. The Monument to Party Founding (Chosŏn'gŭl: 당창건기념탑; MR: Tangch'anggŏnkinyŏmt'ap) is a monument in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. The monument is rich in symbolism: the hammer, sickle and calligraphy brush symbolize the workers, farmers and intellectuals. The element is 50 meters high to symbolize the 50-year anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea. This point cloud was made from a 3s video with visualSFM. A better model has been achieved but some part are still missing due to lack of pattern on some side. There is a mesh model but due to the missing part it's a bit "blooby".
