Japan Komainu from Shinto Sumiyoshi Shrine

Description

The main hall was constructed in Muromachi period. There will be a traditional dance “Shinjimai” being held on the first Saturday of October in every year. “Shinjimai” was designated as the national important intangible folk-cultural properties in Hyogo Prefecture. It is a guardian dog in the shrine. !!
