Barrel Sponges on a ledge

Description

Sponges are good animals for photogrammetry since they don't run away or move. These two are "Giant Barrel Sponges" (Xestospongia muta) and you can see a part of a third one on the edge of the scan. To help with your orientation, this is part of a steep wall and the ledge is almost horizontal. This model was done in Roatan, Honduras, while scubadiving. <50 photos taken with a 15mm fisheye lens and processed in Agisoft Metashape Standard.
