Description

This project involves analyzing meaningful patterns using a subset of data collected from historical newspapers from the years 1947 – 1967 and 1987 – 2007. The model represents the difference between the numbers of occurrences of words in the newspapers belonging to the two eras. These similarities and differences can be used not only to reveal the manner in which journalism has changed, but also to analyze the political and cultural patterns of the population. The data contains entries from a collection of Texas newspapers for the mentioned time duration.
