Periadriatic Fault at Untertilliach

Description

This outcrop near Untertilliach, Austria, shows the fault gouge of the Periadriatic Fault, the longest fault in the Alps. Due to repeated motion on the fault (the total offset is estimated to several tens of kilometres), the rocks have been crushed to powder.
