Fishergate Postern Tower excavation

Welcome to the Fishergate Postern Tower excavation. It's December 2018 and you're standing at the south end of the ground floor of the tower, overlooking the excavations being carried out by York Archaeological Trust, City of York Council and the Friends of York Walls. The site team were very excited at this point, having just discovered intact medieval archaeology below the present floor of the tower.
