Pictish stone (cast), Meigle Museum, Angus

Description

This model shows the cast of the base of a Pictish stone which was originally carved with cup and ring markings. A number of these motifs have now been lost as they are set into the concrete base used to support the slab. However, this cast shows what they once looked like.
