Champsosaurus is a genus of an extinct ichthyophagous creatures which fossils found mostly in the North hemisphere. It belongs to the also extinct order Choristodera, which modern relatives are Squamata. Their size varied from 1,5 to 3,5 metres. They've emerged in the Late Cretaceous and died out in Eocene.
