The Sumerian King List

Description

This is a 3D model of "The Sumerian King List" (Weld-Blundell-Prism) displayed at the Ashmoleon Museum in Oxford. "The Sumerian King List" is a prism made of baked clay, showing cuneiform inscriptions. These inscriptions are listing the former Sumerian rulers in the region of todays southern Iraq. They start in a mythical past (antediluvian or pre-flood times) and end in the time it was written (Sin-magir of the Isin dynasty). Dating: Mesopotamian Middle Bronze Age, c. 1827-1817 BC
