Boorhamer

Description

This is an example of a Rotary Hammer (Boorhamer in Dutch). Former miners used this tool to break the rocks underground by digging holes. The first type of hammer for coal mining was invented in 1889 by Arthur James Arnot. The portable percussion type was invented later, in 1920.
