I was out on a run in the Carlos Avery Wildlife Managment Area (read, I got lost) and saw this amazing tree. It looked like it had flaked off it's skin. This is a result of male deer rubbing their antlers on the tree, a common spring rutting act. However, since this tree was soft, the deer shredded it. Also, it was about to rain (and, again, I had kinda lost the trail) so I didn't get the whole tree. 15 images, shot with a Moto G3 in the Carlos Avery Wildlife Managment Area, Minnesota, USA.
