"Double-sided" model has elevation (10x exaggeration) on one side, and thickness estimated from gravity data on the other. This is a great way to visualize the effects of crustal thickness on elevation: the thicker crust underlies the Colorado Plateau, which is high in elevation. The lower elevations in the Basin & Range province (southern part of the state) have thinner crust due to extension.
