Seal of Maryland Relief

Description

The Maryland state motto is "Fatti maschii, parole femine" and translates as "strong deeds, gentle words." The man on the left is a farmer and onthe right is a fisherman. The crest in the center is the pattern of the Maryland flag. This relief can be found on the Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus.
