Endive Murex Shell

Description

The *Hexaplex cichoreum*, commonly known as the "endive murex", is a medium sized species of sea snail in the family Muricidae (the murex shells or rock snails). These sea snails can only be found in the West Pacific, more specifically the regions of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines. Endive murex shells are generally a white color banded with a darker brown, however, there is also an all-white variety (var. albicans) that can be found in the Philippines.
