E8 - Fm. Tábanos

Description

Gray-brown carbonate rock with explosive reaction to HCl. The texture is dynamic and corresponds to an oolitic grainstone (Dunham, 1962) due to the predominant presence of ooids. One face of the samples shows coats of superficial oxides and manganese dendrites.
