Ultra Destructomatic 2.75 Flipper V1

Description

Inspired by the axe/flipper robots of the classic Robot Wars run - as well as specifically the modular weapon pods of the original Plunderbird - this is my attempt to channel the aesthetic into a CGI render. Ultra Destructomatic Two And Three Quarters had modular weapons systems, namely an axe and a flipper, both powered by the same high-pressure CO2 solution. Okay, so it's a fire extinguisher connected to the interchangeable weapon axle via an internal rack and pinion, but if it was good enough for Chaos 2 it's good enough for the family team of Sid, Gary, and little Doris Bonkers of Stimbleby Wumbobum in East Wessex. The team spent a combined four hundred man-hours working on this edition, and they're probably going to get eviscerated by Hypno-Disc in twelve seconds, but it's all part of the fun.
