Desert Rose Model

Description

A 3D model of Desert Rose Gypsum. 62 pictures were taken with a LG G7 Thinq, and inputted into Meshroom using the follow methodology. Images were taken in 72 DPI with a dimension of 2218 x 4656px. Feature extraction preset: High Structure from motion describer: SIFT with 62 aligned images Depthmap downscale: 4 Meshing observation angle estimation: 15 Meshing filter factor for large triangles: 15 Mesh decimate simplification factor: 0.5 Texture downscale: 1 Texture unwrap method: LSCM The model was then inputted into Meshlab where the mesh was simplified using a quadric edge collapse decimation and excess noise was removed using the selection and delete functions.
