'Oumuamua: an alien visitor?

3D model of the 'Oumuamua asteroid. The elongated shape is not common among other asteroids. It also bears a very peculiar trajectory. For this reason scientists have determined that 'Oumuamua does not belong to the solar system but it has an interstellar origin. Others have even hypothesized that 'Oumuamua is an alien spaceship or a space relict from an extraterrestrial civilization.
