Description

Electrostatic potential map of carbon dioxide. The atoms of which the carbon dioxide consist of does not have the same electronegativities. Oxygen has a higher electronegativity and thus more electron density will be around the carbon dioxide. Electron rich areas are red and electron poor areas are blue.
