Hornblende schist #95 05-21-2020

Description

This hornblende schist is from Mitchell County, North Carolina. It is 9 cm in wide. The black hornblende is easily seen. The other major minerals are quartz and plagioclase but they are hard to tell apart. Minor green epidote is scattered about.
