Madonna of Sidumuli

Description

Carved basalt figure of a woman. Most recently in a graveyard in BorgarfjorOur. Probably depicts the grieving Virgin Mary beneath the cross, Mater Dolorosa. A similar, but smaller stone is exhibited beside this one, From the National Museumof Iceland.
