Iron Object

Description

This rivetted wrought-iron object appeared on the foreshore at Newlyn recently. It is 3’6” long. Suggestions for its function on social media have included a diver’s helmet, a bucket, a UFO and a pisky submarine. It is in fact part of a 19th century marine donkey boiler.
