Description

Density isocontours of a simulated galaxy in the early Universe. # Physical details The galaxy has a mass of 10¹¹ Msun. The time is z=3.55. It was simulated using RAMSES with a resolution of 35pc. The isocontours presented here are extracted at 10⁻²³g/cm³ using a marching cube algorithm (this causes the model to have holes at the boundary between different refinment levels).
