3D Model of the Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula

Description

This Sketchfab model represents an area in the Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula bounded by the coordinates (54.5N, 160.5E), (56.5N, 160.5E), (56.5N, 162.5E) & (54.5N, 160.5E) along with the slab profile (coloured plane), foci of earthquakes (coloured spheres) and volcanoes (red cones) present in the area. Focal mechanism "beachball" diagrams are also plotted for earthquakes with magnitudes greater than 7. Generation of data files for this model were made using *tectoplot*. Data used for this model: Slab 2.0 data, Generic Mapping Tools (GMT) EarthRelief data and Global Volcanism Program (GVP) data.
