Thomasin Blight, a witch of this parish, is buried here. Known locally as Tammy Blee (blee, Cornish for wolf) was a highly respected witch in Helston, Kernow (Cornwall) in the early 19c., with people travelling from as far as the Scilly Isles for cures for their cattle or the lifting of curses.
