Portrait of Catherine Hannah Dunkerley A daguerreotype portrait of Catherine Hannah Dunkerley set in a case. Catherine is sat at a table, she is posed with one hand touching her face and with a book in her other hand, resting on her lap. She wears a dark coloured moire (water silk) dress, with lace collar and cuffs; there are bracelets on each of her wrists and her hair is parted in the centre and pinned to cover her ears.
