Tombstone of Gorham Phillips Stevens and Annette Notara Stevens, the First Cemetery of Athens (Greece) faint inscription at top of relief reads: ΤΟΝ ΛΙΜΕΝΑ ΕΥΡΟΜΕΝ ("let us find a harbor") Stevens, an architect, archaeologist and director of both the American School of Classical Studies at Athens and the American Academy in Rome, holds an architect's t-square. Composition based on the Dionysus Cup by Exekias (Munich).
