These are the original Lions brought from the classicist palace in Pławowice [[1](https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zesp%C3%B3%C5%82_pa%C5%82acowo-parkowy_w_P%C5%82awowicach)], [[2](https://www.kawiarniany.pl/2020/07/22/lwy-pod-ratuszem-w-krakowie/)]. There are copies of them at the gate to the ruined palace today. Lions came to Krakow during the communist era, in October 1964.
