Erwin Ringel Monument from 1999 by Josef Zenzmaier at Schlickplatz in Vienna. Erwin Ringel (1921-1994) was an Austrian specialist in psychiatry and neurology as well as a suicide researcher. He published about 600 works, including 20 books. His most important topics were: Suicide prevention, psychosomatics, neuroscience, social psychology, depth psychological aspects of art, religion and social policy.
