This pottery sherd is a rim portion of a pre-Columbian St. Johns vessel that features unusual finger-pinched surface decoration. It was recovered from the Shell Island site (8OR452) on the Wekiva River in Orange County Florida. Although permanently curated by the Rollins College Archaeology Lab (RCAL), it is currently on exhibit at the Orange County Regional History Center. Model by Ellie Minette.
