Magpie Mine (Derbyshire, UK) was the last working lead mine in the Peak District. It is probably the best surviving example of a 19th century lead mine in the UK. The Square Chimney is one of the oldest structures on the site, and was originally built in 1840 to serve a steam-powered winding engine. The extensive surface remains have been managed by the Peak District Mines Historical Society since 1962. https://pdmhs.co.uk/magpie-mine-peak-district/ The model was created from 75 aerial photographs.
