Puufiguuri - Wood Figurine

TMK21816:PU118:1 Vuonna 1998 Åbo Akademin kaivauksilla löytynyt puufiguuri, joka ajoittuu 1300-luvun lopulta 1400-luvulle. Figuuri löytyi piha- tai katukatteen laidalta. Katteen puiden halkaisija oli keskimäärin noin 15 cm ja niiden kaatoajaksi on dendrokronologisesti ajoitettu talvikausi 1390-1391. Kate oli käytössä 1400-luvun loppupuolelle saakka. Muun läheisen löytöaineiston, etenkin keramiikan ja lasin perusteella, tämä esine luultavasti sijoittuu samaan aikahaarukkaan kuin katteen elinkaari. A figurine made out of wood that was found in an excavation at Åbo Akademi University in 1998. It was found next to a ground cover made out of timber that has deen dendrochronologically dated to winter 1390-1391. On average, the size of the timber was around 15 cm. It is likely that the ground cover was in use until to the late 15th century. Pottery and glass found in the vicinity has been dated to the same time period as the ground covering, so it can be presumed that this wood figurine shares the same dating.
