This is a fixed human heart that was donated for education and research. The donor was a 79 year old female with a history of smoking, hypertension, high colesterol, atherosclerosis, hypothyroidism, COPD, stroke, myocardial infarction, and 4 stents and 4 bypass surgeries performed.
