RSS Conqurer

Description

The Conqurer class of ironclad battles were Svensbergs 2nd turreted ships, but the first to have a semi-auto loading system. The guns would be the biggest ever mounted in the ironclad era, at 450mm or 17.7 inches in diameter. They were effectivly bunker buster cannons built to knock out most fortifications. Armour was 350mm of iron and 350mm of wood at the belt,and she had a range of 8000km at 8 knots. However to allow for this, the speed had to be reduced to 13.5 knots with 6000 horespower. Only 2 were built between 4466 and being quickly finished in 4470 as the first major colonial war between Svensberg and the Norse-Novgorod alliance over the fertile population centres in the "new world", mainly the areas of Misa and Aria. Both were involved in fortification busting missions as well as fleet actions. They became famous for their ability to dissasemble fortifications, ships and anything that they hit in general. By 4500 they would be scrapped whilst the guns would be used in coastal fortifications.
