Francois Dieussart (c. 1600-1661) marble, c. 1645-c. 1650 Rijksmuseum The Flemish sculptor Dieussart was a very popular portraitist at princely courts throughout northern Europe. In The Hague, he worked for Stadtholder Frederick Henry, but he also portrayed wealthy citizens, such as the Delft tapestry-weaver Pieter Spiering and his wife, Johanna Dore.
