# **From *Sources of Magic 13th Edition*** **The Mana Well** Delicately tapping into the magical ley lines, a public access point can be established safely resulting in an active *mana well*. *Mana wells* can be used to access low level magical energies in order to cast simple spells, recharge wands, and facilitate short-range teleportation. One drawback in opening a small incision in a magic artery however, is the inevitable attraction of *Leymoths* to the site. In small numbers these mana-consuming pests pose little risk - however if a swarm should converge on the well it can be rendered innert closing a magical source forever.
